Ethiopian Fair Trade Hilawi Earrings

Beautifully handcrafted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Hilawi Earrings transform materials left behind by war into something beautiful and meaningful.

These striking 3.5" mixed-metal earrings feature silver- and gold-toned metal beads made from repurposed bullet casings collected from fields in northern Ethiopia. Local farmers are paid a fair wage to collect the discarded casings, which are then transformed by women artisans living with HIV in Addis Ababa.
