Hilda's Story

Hilda is the mother of 2 handsome sons and lives on her own.  She experienced tremendous loss in her life. She has a teacher’s certificate but it is often difficult to find work or get paid by the small, village schools. She started a firewood business with her CLA micro-business grant in 2018 and has received much training in business, life, and artisan skills since she joined our community.

“I have had a lot of hard times in my life.  Losing a baby and the father to my children. But, I am a mother of 2 sons and I have to be strong for them. Joining Crazy Love Africa has allowed me to meet other women like me. I am so proud to be a part of my sisters at CLA.  So many people would yearn to have this type of community in their lives. Life is easier now and it is if I am no longer sick, I am strong with hope.”
